Well we finally got to see some real Australian wild life today at a park about a 40 minute drive away. The boys have been stuck inside the last couple of days so we decided to get outside for a bit.
We had a nice walk around a lake and then suddenly we spotted some Wallabies just standing there in the long grass. Although quite shy they just stood there and had a good look at us! We saw about 7 or 8 on our walk along with loads of lovely orange butterflies.

One of the Wallabies had a little Joey sticking out of her pouch - if you look carefully in the picture above you can just see his feet poking out :-)
Hi Guys, loving the photos of wallabies and rain! Will try and send you some more photos of the snow in Romsey - had about 6 inches at weekend and it has not thawed due to freezing temperatures during day and night. More forecast for today and it has caused chaos at airports in UK.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather improves for your Christmas on the beach! Hopefully the snow will thaw by weekend as it may cause problems for people trying to get home for Christmas. Paul is working this year at Christmas so we will be at home (with my Mum) and the new addition to our family - Lola! She arrives on Thursday and I have bought her a couple of Christmas presents! Girls have promised to get up early each day and take her outside so she is house trained as soon as possible! Will let you know how long that lasts!
Look forward to seeing lots of photos of your first Christmas in Oz - hoping the sun shines and you can get to the beach. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and enjoy your holiday afterwards. Love Lisa xxx
